UofL women’s volleyball team honored by city

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Louisville women’s volleyball team was honored Wednesday for its phenomenal 2024 season.
The Cards made it to the NCAA National Championship match, losing to Penn State at the KFC Yum! Center. The team was recognized during a special ceremony at Metro Hall to celebrate their accomplishments.
“This past season was just amazing,” middle blocker Cara Cresse said. “The amazing people, the special group we had this year with the players, the coaches, the staff and Card Nation was just so awesome. We felt the support all the way. We thank you so much.”
Mayor Craig Greenberg gifted the team new custom luggage tags. He also declared February as University of Louisville Women’s Volleyball Month” in the city.
