In the fall, Livi Overbeek helped Lakeview enjoy one of its best volleyball seasons in the last two decades.
And now, she gets to continue that good feeling at the next level.
Overbeek committed to play volleyball at Division II Davenport University during a signing ceremony at Lakeview High School on Wednesday.
“Very excited to get to keep playing volleyball,” Overbeek said. “I was looking for a smaller school and someone who really wanted me and wanted to invest in me and they offered that.”

Fighting through injuries her senior year, Overbeek had 307 kills from her outside hitter spot with 220 digs and earned honorable mention all-state honors in Division 1. She finished with over 1,000 kills for her career.
Davenport competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Davenport went 10-19 overall in the fall qualified for the GLIAC Tournament, falling in the first round to Grand Valley State University.
